Some More Thrifting Finds

This last weekend, I got the itch to go out and check out the thrift stores. I really had nothing in particular that I was looking for (well maybe some Pyrex). I decided to head downtown to the Goodwill.

At the Goodwill, I found a lot of exciting things. There were a bunch of Pyrex pieces. I found a 1 1/2 quart oval casserole in the Meadows pattern.

I also found a lid in the Verde pattern.

It fits perfectly with the Verde dish that I bought in Vegas.
They also had 2 more pieces of Pyrex. They said Made In England. I decided to leave them because the price on the casserole dish was $10.50. I couldn't get them all.

I also found a cup and saucer made in Occupied Japan.

I bought this as a gift for my sister.
When I took my purchases to the cashier, she looked at the casserole marked $10.50 and said "That is too much. I will be right back". She went to the back and came back with a price of $3.50. What?!?!?!?!
I couldn't believe it. I tried to act cool but I really wanted to jump up and down and scream with joy.

The next stop was The Salvation Army. They had some Pyrex pieces but they were overpriced and damaged. I did find a Pyrex lid with a hot air balloon.

I don't know what pattern it is or what it goes with but currently it is matched up with my Barbwire dish.
I also found a cute scarf and a pair of yellow rubber boots
that we will wear when my son gets his pig for FFA.

The last stop was The Goodwill on the southside. Not much going on here. I did find two Talbots sweaters but that was it.

Go and check out http://thriftedtreasure.blogspot.com/. She currently doing a giveaway to celebrate her 1 year blogging anniversary.
Happy Anniversary Thrifted Treasure!!!!

  4. Hi Thrifted Treasure. I only know what the name of that lid is through the blog Pyrex Love. Everytime I find something, I rush home and go there to see what I got. If I keep going there, pretty soon I will know them all by heart. LOL

  6. I think the pyrex balloon pattern is hard to find, so good score there. Problem is, with it's scarcity, you may never find the casserole dish it goes with!!
